Amy R. Hopkins, Assistant Director
The Co-op and Internship Program
It is with great pleasure that I join the team of career professionals in
the KSU Career Services Center. My primary focus will be on cooperative education
and internships with plans to develop and implement a marketing strategy that will
help foster continued growth in numbers of students participating in this valuable
program. I believe that the best career choices are made based on experience, and
that future career satisfaction is directly related to how much information one has
when making an initial career path decision. The more experience one has, the better
decision one can make!
I have worked in higher education for more than 18 years, with 13 years of direct
experience in career services. I have additional experience in international
services, services for students with disabilities, academic advising, and student
activities, and I hope to capitalize on this additional experience to develop
partnerships with campus offices and student groups for coop/internship programming.
I hold a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from Southeast Missouri State
University and a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education/English from Appalachian State
University. In my spare time, I like to travel, read, quilt, and spend time with
family and friends.
