On Campus Recruiting Process At Kennesaw State University Career Services Center

The Career Services Center's On-Campus Recruiting area has vested interest in ensuring that you have the best possible recruiting experience at KSU. For that reason, we would like to share with you how the process works.

Contact to make your reservations.

Include in the e-mail the following information. COMPANY NAME, TYPE OF INDUSTRY, RECRUITER NAME, RECRUITER E-MAIL, ADDRESS, PHONE, FAX, COMPANY WEBSITE, INTERVIEW DATE PREFERRED, POSITION RECRUITING FOR.

Laura will enter the reservations on our InterviewTRAK scheduling program.

She will enter the following: total number of rooms and schedules, type of schedule (preselect only), duration of the interview, recruiting date and deadlines.

Based on the academic calendar, Laura sets the on-campus recruiting dates and deadlines. The deadlines are:
-Student Dates: Resume submission begins, Resume submission deadline, Preselect sign-up begins, Alternate sign-up begins, Open Sign-up begins, and Sign up deadlines.

- Employer Dates: Pre-selection deadline, Access to schedule begins. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU MEET THESE DEADLINES IF YOU WISH TO HAVE A SCHEDULE MADE THROUGH THIS SYSTEM.
You will be e-mailed a confirmation letter & directions assigning a Password and a deadline for the employers to enter your job description, requirements, and to attach your job listings to reserve your room for your interview dates That letter also includes and specifies how to print the map and directions from our website: http://careerctr.kennesaw.edu.

WE ASSIGN A PASSWORD ONLY TO THE PERSON WHO CALLED AND MADE THE RESERVATIONS. IF OTHERS NEED TO ACCESS THE INFORMATION YOU WILL NEED TO SHARE THE PASSWORD AND PERTINENT DETAILS WITH THEM. WE SEND THE INFORMATION TO THE CONTACT PERSON THAT WE HAVE IN THEY SYSTEM ONLY, NO OTHER PERSONS. IF THE CONTACT PERSON HAS CHANGED, PLEASE LET US KNOW IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN GOOD COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE CAREER SERVICES CENTER AND YOUR OFFICE.

The following steps are to be used when entering your information into the system:

  1. To enter employer contact information and job description: The information on the job description must match the interview requirements (degree, major, college, graduation date range, minimum GPA). This is what the students are going to see. List only the information you wish students to have like: company contact name, telephone number, e-mail address and mailing address.

  2. All Job Descriptions must be attached to your schedule(s)/room(s): Students are unable to view the jobs until you do this. Verify that there are available rooms in the table at the top of the page. Click on (ATTACH) under the Room Reservations table. This will take you to the Attach Job Description page. Click the button next to the Job Description you wish to attach to a room and click on (ATTACH). This will take you to the "Attach Rooms to Jobs" page. Use the pull-down menu to choose the number of rooms to attach to the selected Job Title.
    Use the pull-down Interview Requirements menu to screen candidates for an interview. Again, be sure that this is going to match with the information that you have entered on your job description. Students who do not meet the requirements will not be able to drop their resumes or sign-up for the interview. Avoid being too specific (i.e. requesting cover letters). This can cause you to have only a few sign-ups. After carefully proofreading the selections, click on (ATTACH). The interview Confirmation page, detailing the reservation information, will indicate that the process has been completed.

3. On this step you are going to be able to do three things: View/Download Resumes, to use the Preselection Worksheet and View/Print Schedule(s).

    To View Resumes
    Use the buttons on the Manage Events Main Page to select the appropriate Interview Date/Job Title.

    Click on (View/Download Resumes). This will take you to the Manage Events/Download or E-mail students Page.

    Click on the student' s name in the list of Submitted Resumes to view the student's resume.

    To Download/Print Resumes

    Use the buttons on the Manage Events Main Page to select the appropriate Interview Date/Job Title.

    Click on (View/Download Resumes). This will take you to the Manage Events/Download or E-mail Students Page.

    Click on the check box(es) next to the Student's name or use the Select All box.
    Click on (Download Resumes). This will take you to Resume format Selection page.

    Choose your format ( Adobe Acrobat or Text only) then click the download button. On the next page, click on the red "Download Now" link.

    To E-mail Students

    Use the button on the Manage Events Main page to select the Appropriate Interview Date/Job Title.

    Click on (View/Download Resumes). this will take you to the Manage Events Page/Download or E-mail Students page.

    Click on the check box(es) next to the Student's name(s) in the list of Submitted Resumes or use the Select All check box.

    Click on the (E-mail Students). This will take you to the E-mail Students Page.

    Complete the E-mail address(Employer's E-mail address). Subject and Body text fields.

    When satisfied with the e-mail, click (Send Mail) at the bottom of the page. The e-mail will be sent to all selected students.

    Preselect Worksheet

    Use the buttons on the Manage Events Main Page to select the appropriate Interview Date/Job Title.

    Click on (Preselect Worksheet). This will take you to the Manage Events/Preselect Worksheet page.

    Use the pull-down menus corresponding to the student's name in the Preselect list to alter the Preselect Status.

    Click on (Submit Changes).

    To View/Print Schedules

    Use the buttons on the Manage Events Main Page to select the appropriate Interview Date/Job Title.

    Click on (View Schedule). This will take you to the View/Print Schedules page.

    Select the Check box(es) corresponding to the schedule(s) you would like to view/print.

    Click on (View/Print). This will take you to the Print Schedules page.

    Select Print from the File Menu or your browser.

Basically that is what we do, but please keep in mind that it is very important for you to remember that two days after the student resume submission deadline, you will be receiving all resumes through your e-mail. JobTRAK send the resumes automatically to you and you will need to download them from the system. If you do not receive them, JobTRAK send a notification to us to verify and correct the company e-mail address. Some companies, in order to download the resume will need Adobe Reader. Your company can get this free at college@jobtrak.com. * Remember that you are to bring the resumes with you to the Interview. Career Services will not have them. We hope this will be helpful in assisting you as you prepare for your visit to our campus. We encourage you to download the instructions when you first enter InterviewTRAK and follow them carefully.
