History
A degree in history is useful to all students interested in careers involving
research and writing. It serves as a prerequisite for graduate study in a number
of fields, including history or many other social science disciplines, law, and
theology. The History Department also offers a Certificate in Public History.
The six course sequence is designed to enhance a student's ability to find
employment in historic preservations, archival management, museum administration,
or heritage tourism.
