Karen Marks, Assistant Director

I have been a member of the Career Services Center team since 2004. My primary area of focus is to provide students and alumni from the College of Humanities and Social Science and the College of Arts with career–related assistance. I have been working in higher education for 25+ years with majority of those years in career services working with undergraduate, graduate and law students. I find it exciting help others obtain their career goals and/or to have an “ah–hah” moment when they realize what it is they really want to do. It is also very rewarding to know that I was able to help them succeed.

I hold a Master’s degree in Sociology from Illinois State University and a Bachelor’s in Sociology from Saint Joseph’s College. My personal interests include taking ceramic classes, traveling and reading.
