2009 GSCPA College2Career Conference
September 25, 2009 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Georgia International Convention Center
Presented by: Georgia Society of CPAs
This Conference is intended to provide the best of both worlds for students: access to
employers in a wide range of industries (including public accounting, consulting, financial services,
distribution, and manufacturing) through the career fair, and workshops to provide students with
valuable information on career path options, CPA exam preparation, salary and employment data, and
employer expectations. Open to college students working towards degrees in accounting or finance, or
recent graduates with accounting or finance degrees who are seeking full–time, part–time
or internship positions. The registration fee is $10 for student members, $35 for student

Prepare for the fair by reviewing the list of companies scheduled to attend; know who you want to see and
have questions ready.
Open to all majors! On–site registration is required; please bring your KSU ID card,
driver’s license, or other photo ID.
Trainee Job Fair

Presented by: The Atlanta Braves
Are you ready to begin your career in sports? Join the Atlanta Braves for their 2009 Trainee
Fair, and have the opportunity to meet with decision makers for hiring. The Atlanta Braves Trainee Program
is designed for recent college graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in professional sports,
and is open to any qualified applicant who has a college degree and a GPA of at least a 3.0 at graduation.
Tickets are $10 each, and include one upper box ticket to the Atlanta Braves v. Philadelphia Phillies game at 7:10 pm
and access to the Trainee Job Fair before the game (be sure to bring copies of your resume!).

Career Fair and find the most opportunities, you’ve got to work it!
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to prepare, what to bring with you, what
to wear, what to expect when you arrive, and how to leave a lasting impression on recruiters.

A great resume will get you an interview—a great interview will get you the job!
In this interactive workshop, you will learn about the different formats of interviews and the
types of questions asked, how to research companies (and how to use that information in an interview),
how to recognize and respond to “illegal” questions,
and how to make a fantastic first impression by dressing and acting in a professional manner.
Students are encouraged to bring interview questions that they have found difficult to answer.
Open to all students and alumni.

Employers can identify great resumes from poor ones in 30 seconds or less…don’t let your
resume get overlooked! In this workshop, you’ll learn what to include on your resume (and what to leave out!),
the effective use of keywords and action verbs, and the different types of resumes that you can use to successfully
market yourself on paper. Open to all students and alumni.
